Hey Mike do you think the umpiring will favor the yankees throughout the series like it has in the first inning. I saw 4 strikes called against Swisher before he hit it out.

Had Things been done early in the season, this ball club could have competed. Unfortunately, with Cito Gaston at the helm, any kind of winning streak became nothing more than wishful thinking. Cito is a rally killer and always has been. While, the Jays have had the starting pitching to go on a legitimate run, Cito's forte has been stopping the team from succeeding for long stretches with his lack of imagination and his bogus idea of playing hunches. Under Gaston and with those one run games always cropping up, the Jays lose those opportunities because Gaston has no real sense of managing such games with any kind of continued success. Beeston can call this current situation a rebuild but such a label is misleading and inappropriate considering a substantial part of this team is already in place. All that the term rebuild has accomplished is to ensure a term of longevity for Anthopoulos, who can always claim failing seasons to come, as merely rebuilding years. It appears as if Toronto baseball has joined the ranks of politics with false labels and success seen as anything better than last year. This team could have competed this year if not for Beeston's insistence on keeping Gaston around for another year. Any person who believes that Gaston is even remotely competent must realize that if not for the highest payroll and a team full of stars who wantd to succeed, his presence was and still is a detriment to the success of the organization . Gaston was a negative influence on games but at the time was a positive influence on hitting and nothing more. Cito Gaston is the king of being out managed because he has never truly been a manager! He is in the wrong place at the wrong time, unless, you are Alex Anthopoulos.
Why Cito still keep using Tallet ? And he demoted Litsch ?
Are they relative or other relationship ?

Hi Mike,
On tonight's show, can you tell us which Jays, if any, have likely passed through waivers at some point this season. I am trying to get a feel for what the Jays might be able to do regarding the August trade deadline. Thanks.
