We’re getting set for a broadcast here, and as I write, the Jays are coming off the field, bailing out of batting practice early because of the rain.
If it goes, and the radar doesn’t look good at all, the Jays will have a line-up that could be sent out against the occasional lefty, with Rod Barajas catching and Marco Scutaro at first with Shannon Stewart in left. Zaun and Overbay are here, so the Jays brought everybody. Except Dustin McGowan, that is, who is probably going to get rained out of his minor-league assignment this afternoon. Rule Fiver Randy Wells gets the start.
We’ll have Barajas on the pre-game, and may very well have ourselves a rain delay show, so get those dialing fingers ready!

- PeeWeeMike, you a fantasy baseball maven? If so, I was wondering which Jays you see as having tremendous value at their current ADPs?
MW: I’m not a fantasy baseball maven even a little. I play simulation, I find it to be a lot more fun. I have no idea what an ADP is.
- AriThe luck of the Blue Jays – six up and the game gets called off in the second. Oh well. Mike, any thoughts on Wells, for the few seconds that he got?
MW: How is that bad luck? The rainout counts just as much as a win would have. Wells looked good, but what can you take from watching him face five batters? They were very good hitters, though, and he got almost all of them out.

I was just wondering if you saw the Jays making any claims on guys teams place on waivers once the 25 man rosters are set ?
I know the Jays are facing a similar roster crunch but do you think there are any possibilities ? I was thinking Robinson Tejada from Texas has a chance of being placed on waivers since he’s out of options and when he’s on, he’s really good.
MW: I don’t really see the Jays making a run at someone who gets waived, their team is pretty much set, though they do have some options on some people if there’s a guy out there who they find really attractive. I don’t see it happening, though.

MW: Reed has been released.

MW: It would be a stupid mistake if they’d released him without having tried to trade him. They tried. There was no trade to be made.
