Great to be home?
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009
Just back from a wonderful few days at our place in Phoenix. Paige and I are our own. So great alone time, sun, golf, pool time and dinners out.
Did I mention sun? Upon getting back, I couldn’t help but ask “Why do we live here again?”

A couple of local guys have a ‘You Tube’ hit on their hands. Dr. Arun Lakra, a Calgary ophthalmologist, came up with lyrics and his brother-in-law Shubh Sindu does the singing on ‘Hey Iginla’. Just in time for the playoffs!

Dan McDougall is a Biology teacher at Bishop O’Byrne. I think you’ll agree he’s a talented guy. Here’s something he wrote and produced and something you can sing along to on your next commute into work.
Don’t miss Monday morn

Monday morning we’ll have details on how you can win one of many trips to San Diego.
Plus, like last year we’ll beging our quest to find another ‘Jersey Guy..or Gal’ One of our listeners will wear a Flames jersey 24/7 for as long as the Flames are in the playoffs. We’ll feel sorry for the family and co-workers but they do get something in return. If you want playoff tix and an open tab at ‘Paddy O’Leary’s Irish Pub in Beddington’ then you can be jersey guy! Get in the running Monday morning with ‘Matt and Eric’!
Have a great weekend! Mine will be spent making ‘Snow Cakes’ apparently.

Family in need

Received a touching email from an obviously caring group of people. They’ve reached out to us. In turn we’ll reach out to you. If there’s any way you can help please let us know.
We just wanted to see if you guys can do anything to help out our co-worker, Lina. We are all listeners and have heard all the wonderful things you guys have done to help people out. Lina and her husband Gregg were the victims of a house fire this past Friday, March 27. Unfortunately they did not have Tennant insurance and have lost absolutely everything, except the clothing on their backs. Lina is raising her 7 year old grandson (Jason)and her biggest concern and sorrow is that he lost all of his toys, gaming consoles, books and clothing. To make matters worse, Gregg was injured at work and had back surgery last November and has been off work since then. They are both great, caring people who are just having a bout of bad luck. We are trying to reach out to anyone that will help us help them. We hope there is something you can do to help or at least point us in the right direction. Thank you for your time.
PS. We love Matt & Eric
