Forget being proud of your kid at high school graduation in Cincinnati. Anthony Cornist’s suburban Cincinnati high school is withholding his diploma and requiring community service as punishment — because his family cheered too loud at the graduation ceremony. Mount Healthy City Schools Superintendent Lori Handler — a.k.a. Miss Crabby Pants — said families agree to avoid ceremony disruptions and that it’s unfair to others who want to hear their students’ names called. However, Anthony’s mother, Traci Cornist, says the cheering wasn’t unusually loud or disruptive and is outraged her son is being punished. The school says he has legally graduated, but it’s requiring 20 hours of community service by him or his family before handing over his diploma.

See ya in the morning,
Lou-Anne
