War weary soldiers in Russia will soon be able to soothe their souls on the front lines thanks to a high tech flying church that can be dropped from an overhead airplane. Paratrooper priests known as the God Squad will float down soon afterward. The new houses of worship come complete with crucifixes, chalices and reproduction icons that are essential for the Russian Orthodox religion’s complicated rituals. They consist of an army tent, mini-theater, diesel power source, air conditioners and a refrigerator. The chapels will descend to the ground on an airborne platform that is typically used for heavy military equipment. (Sun)

Spring is the ideal time to clean up with a yard sale and you can really clean up if you get a jump on the weekend competition by having your sale on a Friday. “I earn three times the money on Friday that I do on Saturday,” reveals Lynda Hammond, author of The Garage Sale Gal’s Guided to Making Money Off Your Stuff. To reap even richer rewards, Hammond does not put price tags on her merchandise, figuring a buyer might love an item the seller hates and offer a higher than anticipated price. Another yard sale maven, Ava Seavey, author of Ava’s Guide To Garage Sale Gold, advises sellers not to be too pushy. “It is not a retail store,” she says. “You’ll make more money if you’re not hovering.” (National Examiner)

That’s the word from British researchers, who studied the mood swings of 22,000 people over a two-month period and concluded that people are at their lowest point emotionally on Tuesdays. What is the most stressful day of the week? Conventional wisdom has long held that Monday is the unhappiest day of the week, but this study, which tried to establish a link between people’s feelings and their immediate environment, including pollution, noise, weather conditions and green space, turns that belief upside-down.

Actress Lindsay Lohan and reality stars Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton have been declared three of the most overexposed celebrities in Hollywood. No? Really?! Forbes magazine has compiled a list of the top 10 tabloid fixtures in show business and coming in at number one is newly-single socialite Kardashian. Lohan, who has been in and out of court over the last several months, tied for second place with pregnant Jersey Shore star Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi. Also making the list are hotel heiress Hilton, Polizzi’s pal Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, and Kardashian’s TV personality and fashion designer sisters Kourtney and Khloe.
