Christmas
Friday, December 24th, 2010
From my family, both personal and here at EZ Rock, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Please enjoy a safe and sound, relaxing Christmas. Let’s take a moment to be grateful for everything we have and to remember those who are in need.
I’m blessed with a loving husband, amazing children, family and friends. There is no way to put a price on my love for them.
As I near my one year anniversary here at EZ Rock in February, I’d like to thank you for listening and I look forward to a lot more mornings to come!

Some 500 reindeer a year are killed in vehicle accidents in the northern part of Norway. That’s why Norwegian reindeer owners are putting bright collars on their animals to make them more visible to drivers.
um, I think Rudolph was ahead of his time with his nose, oh so bright!

HOW TO BE STRESS-FREE:
December is “Stress-Free Holidays Month”, an initiative to help us enjoy the holiday season without going out of our minds. A few tips to help lift your spirits and reduce your stress level …
– If you’re wanting to send Christmas cards, make it a family project so the chore’s not left to one person.
– If the extended family is getting together for a holiday meal, ask everyone to bring a dish.
– Consider gifts that don’t require shopping, such as magazine subscriptions or tickets to events.
– Don’t create clutter with decorations. If you have to step over it, duck under it, or squeeze by it, it’s going to add more stress to your holidays.

Who’s watching the inmates?
Thursday, December 2nd, 2010
It’s apparently much easier than we thought to be a pimp in Canada. In Kingston, Ontario, police have charged two men with running a prostitution business — FROM THEIR PRISON CELLS! Allegedly the two inmates of the Kingston Penitentiary were using prison phones to direct women engaged in prostitution and set them up with clients. (CTV News)
I’m thinking that security at the Penitentiary is a little lacking!

Reducing stress and maintaining a positive mental attitude through the holidays are important for both your health and your sanity. The solution to stress is multifaceted but here are five healthy habits that you can use throughout the holidays:
1. Take your vitamins
2. Tote around healthy snacks
3. Stay hydrated (2 Litres of water)
4. Be mindful of your stress .. If you start to feel stressed or overwhelmed concentrate only on what is happening to you in your surroundings.
5. Work in the weights .. Be sure to balance cardiovascular exercise with weight training to ensure you maintain your metabolic rate.
And if all else fails, do what I do! Take a long hot bath .. oh, and don’t forget to lock the bathroom door! ; )
Thanks for these tips Chatelaine!
See ya in the morning,
Lou-Anne
