CEO Barbie ….
No surprise. Just days after International Women’s Day…the latest Angus Reid Public Opinion finds Canadian girls today want to be the CEO.
It was commissioned by the Barbie gang at Mattel. Barbie has been a rockstar, a vet, a doctor, and a ballerina. She’s had her differences with Ken, and she has the best closet. She’s done a lot already in her 51 years.
The survey looked at the aspirations of girls today… to the past ambitions of women aged 40 and over when they were the same age.
51% of girls polled today want to own their own company over being a stay-at-home mom. Years ago, girls said they would have rather worked for someone else (54%) than been the owner of a company (20%), or a stay-at-home mom (26%).
From our 570 Morning News files: A study out of York University today finds our math skills get better with age. Finally! There is hope for me.
Turns out women in their 40’s rock at math.
The study finds at that age women are experts at
multi tasking.. and have great time-management skills.
Mr. Guzman.. test this tired mom now!
And the love of our smartphone truly has no bounds.
A CareerBuilder Canada survey finds workers with smart phones admit to pulling it out everywhere. Everywhere. They are checking in with the office during a meal, ( 65 per cent), in the bathroom ( 57 per cent), lying in bed at night ( 52 per cent)…..and another seven per cent of workers admit to checking their emails in church.
What would Barbie do?
