The 14th Annual Limestone City Blues Festival was back, and Micki from the Tyroute Telus K-Rock 105.7 Road Krew brought to you by the K-Rock Centre jammed out all weekend long!   Thursday Night kicked off four days of Blues! The OLG Confederation Park Stage was the place to catch a bunch of local and international acts including the headliner Carlos del Junco. Then, we continued on with the blues on Friday with live music in Confederation Park all day and the main stage show at the Princess Street Stage featuring Miss Emily and Friday night’s head liner “the Braille Blues Daddy” Bryan Lee. Saturday was an amazing day of Blues with live music in Confederation Park and the main stage at Springer Market Square was loaded with the best blue music featuring Prakash John & the Lincolns, Matt Andersen and the legendary Hubert Sumlin.  With beautiful weather and a killer crowd, it was definitely a weekend to remember!

They’re back in town!  The Tyroute Telus K-Rock 105.7 Road Krew brought to you by the K-Rock Centre was in the Merchant Tap House to see Crash Karma rock out on stage!  They were in Kingston for the second time this year, and we couldn’t miss out on the chance of seeing them live once more!  Rock On!

August 15th Sun

Have you ever heard those cars driving by you with the bass so loud you can feel it?  Try being surrounded by over 30 of them all at once!  Micki from the Tyroute Telus K-Rock 105.7 Road Krew brought to you by the K-Rock Centre was privileged enough to be apart of this experience, and she is still feeling the vibrations!  The Kingston Family Fun World Park played host to the 4th Annual Limestone City Soundoff, where cars compete from all over the area (including Niagra Falls, and Syracuse New York) to have the loudest stereo.  They attempted to break world records with the latest technology’s ability to measure the level of sound.  Not only was this day a lot of fun, it raised money for a local charity.  Proceeds paid by the competitors to enter the competition went to the Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston, to help children with disabilities like dyslexia and autism.

August 12th Thurs

What does early in the morning meant to you?  Well, Micki from the Tyroute Telus K-Rock 105.7 Road Krew brought to you by the K-Rock Centre found out the hard way by being up at 5:00am for the 10th Anniversay Ride For Dad’s Cross Canada Tour to Fight Prostate Cancer, and their morning breakfast at Motorsport Plus.  The K-Rock 105.7 Morning Krew was there broadcasting live all morning to get in on all of the action.  Once everyone was full with breakfast burritos, Micki escorted the group of over 600 motorcycles in the K-Rock 105.7 Hummer to Trenton, were she joined them on the CFB Trenton Base and then saw them off onto the 401 Highway of Heros.  It was an emotional and exciting day, and we’re sure this group of devoted and generous riders will make a difference to end prostate cancer.

If you didn’t see them rolling into town, we’re sure you heard ‘em!  The 10th Anniversary of Ride For Dad stopped in Kingston for their first Cross Canada Tour!  Micki from the Tyroute Telus K-Rock 105.7 Road Krew brought to you by the K-Rock Centre decided to hit up Kingston’s Bike and Classic Car Night, out on Gardiners Road, next to the 401 at the A&W/Petro Canada pit stop to see all of the action.  Not only did Sarge and his people collect canned food items for Martha’s Table, they also raised around $4500 to find a cure for Prostate Cancer for the Ride for Dad group.  The parking lot was packed with bikes, cars, and vendors.  There was even a stage with bands like Mary-Lynn Neil, The Trevor Walsh Group, the Jim Patterson Band and Wascal Bratts playing live music!   All in all is was a smashing success, and we took a step that much closer for finding a cure for Prostate Cancer.
