Then, we continued on with the blues on Friday with live music in Confederation Park all day and the main stage show at the Princess Street Stage featuring Miss Emily and Friday night’s head liner “the Braille Blues Daddy” Bryan Lee. Saturday was an amazing day of Blues with live music in Confederation Park and the main stage at Springer Market Square was loaded with the best blue music featuring Prakash John & the Lincolns, Matt Andersen and the legendary Hubert Sumlin. Micki from the Tyroute Telus K-Rock 105.7 Road Krew brought to you by the K-Rock Centre was privileged enough to be apart of this experience, and she is still feeling the vibrations! The Kingston Family Fun World Park played host to the 4th Annual Limestone City Soundoff, where cars compete from all over the area (including Niagra Falls, and Syracuse New York) to have the loudest stereo. They attempted to break world records with the latest technology’s ability to measure the level of sound. Not only was this day a lot of fun, it raised money for a local charity. Proceeds paid by the competitors to enter the competition went to the Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston, to help children with disabilities like dyslexia and autism.

Once everyone was full with breakfast burritos, Micki escorted the group of over 600 motorcycles in the K-Rock 105.7 Hummer to Trenton, were she joined them on the CFB Trenton Base and then saw them off onto the 401 Highway of Heros. It was an emotional and exciting day, and we’re sure this group of devoted and generous riders will make a difference to end prostate cancer.

Saturday May 15th, was another jam packed day for the Road Krew! We welcomed our new member, Catie! She will be rocking out with Micki all summer long, so keep an eye out for this dynamic duo! The first event we rocked out to was the National Garage Sale for Shelter. We set up our smokin’ sound system and jammed out to tunes all morning in front of the Royal LePage on Gardiners Road. We then went hunting for the amazing bargains and fantastic finds. This garage sale wasn’t just taking place in Kingston, but at Royal LePage’s across Canada! Locally, all of the proceeds went to Interval House, a refuge for battered and abused women and children. It was really a privilege to be apart of this event, and we couldn’t have found better deals if we tried!

F-f-f-Freezing February!
March 2nd, 2010 by James
February was full of fame, Fanatics and fans!

The Road Krew kicked off the month with a Tom Cochrane concert top open Kingston’s Annual Feb Fest. The crowd was large and their hearts were even larger!
The week was complete with public skating in Market Square, a figure skating demonstration and of course, the Limestone Classic! In preparation for the annual tournament, the Road Krew almost froze their fingers off! But it was all worth it to see the brave and enthusiastic fans come out and support their hockey idols!
Rounding up the month was of course the Men’s Hockey Game between Canada and the USA for the Gold Metal in Vancouver 2010! The Road Krew hit up Fanatics and boy was it a nail biter! The place was packed full of fans and the energy was epic as Canada broke records with it’s 14th Gold Metal! What an amazing experience! Go Canada Go!
