So many things have been and will continue to be, spoken and written about the legendary Whitney Houston. She was an amazing talant, and unfortunatly someone who also had a lot of personal demons. 1963 - Whitney Elizabeth Houston is born in East Orange, N.J. to gospel singer Cissy Houston on Aug. 9.
200 million – the number of Whitney Houston albums sold
6 – Grammys won by Whitney, followed by 30 Billboard awards and 22 American Music Awards
3- number of female artists who have sold more albums then Whitney (Madonna, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion).
1991- Returns to limelight with performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl during the first Gulf War.
1992- Begins high profile and tumultuous marriage to former New Edition member Bobby Brown.
2001 – the year MTV admits they began compiling video clips for a Whitney “Im Memorium” clip
2005 - Appears in reality TV show “Being Bobby Brown.”
2007 - Divorces Brown.
2009 - Comeback album “I Look To You” debuts at top of charts, eventually goes platinum.
2009 - In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, declares herself drug free. She would return to rehab in 2011.
3:15 pm – the time on Saturday that Whitney spoke with her cousin Dionne Warwick and her mother Cissy. Both said she seemed perfectly fine.
2012 – Dies at age 48 in a hotel room in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Feb. 11
