…you have come to the wrong place. Today will be referred to as “Immoral Monday.” You are about to experience some cheap thrills you guys. Well, the girls are anyhow.
Last week some KIX Country Club members and I had the chance to screen the new movie, “The Mechanic” starring Jason Statham. It’s a remake of the 1972 flick starring Charles Bronson, but really who cares because Charles Bronson does not look like this:
Sweet. Baby. Jesus. How did I make it almost 34 years not knowing that Jason Statham was the hottest thing I have ever laid eyes on? *Otherthanmyhusband* Okay, what was I gonna say next? I seem to have lost my train of thought……
*remember to click on the pics to see Mr. Charming in all his enlarged, bewitching glory*
Heads up: The Mechanic is chock full of gratuitous violence and angry and pretty much everything I hate in a movie. Except for this:
I LOVE this in a movie. He’s like a younger, British Bruce Willis. YES! He has the hottness AND an accent. I know, right?! Be still my beating heart. And he’s also all aloof and brooding and mysterious and hard core. Sighhhhhhhh.
Whew. It’s hotter than a harlot in church in here.
Here’s the trailer for The Mechanic:

I told you. Jason Statham is positively salacious (I believe that is the first time I’ve EVER used that word) and this movie is VIOLENT. Did I mention I hate brutality?Yeah, I think I may be over that. Statham’s character in the flick is named Arthur and he manages to make the name Arthur sexy. Sexy Arthur! Imagine!
Okay. So I wish this woman were me:
And I now need to go rent all the Jason Statham movies. Snatch, Crank and The Italian Job. Those titles all sound slightly obscene to me. In the best possible way.
Now If you are still yearning for substance, read this. You’ll feel less tawdry and a bit better about yourself. Maybe.
“To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common–this is my symphony.”~William Henry Channing~
Did that work? No? What’s that you say? You want one more pic of Arthur? Okkkaaayyy. Fine.
Now, go forth and have impure thoughts a Happy Immoral Monday!
FINALLY!! No, really, FINALLY!!
