Marilyn Monroe’s House……..
Tuesday, July 13th, 2010
is for sale. The house she lived and died in.
I am a little obsessed with Marilyn.

Actually, I’m A LOT obsessed with all things Marilyn. I own most of her movies. I’ve read every single crazy a few Marilyn conspiracy books. I’m pretty sure the Kennedy’s killed her. I think she was the most misunderstood, misrepresented, beautiful, brilliant creature to ever walk this earth.
I want this house.
Is that a creepy dream or what? If I ever became wealthy, acquiring it would probably be the first thing on my fantasy list.
She bought the cul-de-sac home in 1962 for $90,000. It was her first. The 2,624 square foot house has a swimming pool, four bedrooms and three bathrooms, according to a listing.
Agent David Offer describes the 1929 propertyas a “hacienda situated behind tall gates at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on over 23,000 square feet (per assessor) of tree-filled grounds.”
It’s beautiful. It’s also listed for 3.6 million dollars. Just a smidgen above my dream house budget (which btw, is $0.00)
I suppose the dream will remain a dream. For now. I’m a little OCD-ish superstitious and will put the “for now” in the Universe just in case she’s paying attention and wants me to become riiiiich. The Universe, that is. Not Marilyn. Keep up with my ramblings you guys.
I keep looking at the pictures and imagining her in the kitchen. Imagining her puttering around barefoot on the tile floors. Swimming in the pool. Those walls heard her voice. She opened those doors with her hands. She gazed out those windows.
I really want that house.
And somehow believing her spirit still roams the halls makes it even cooler.
I can’t stop looking at these pictures.
