The following conversation happened between a 411 operator and myself as I was looking for a fellow Nutbrown family member’s number that I had misplaced:

Operator: ”I’m sorry did you say the last name was Nutbrown? Is that all one word? No hyphen?”

Me: *laughing* “Yes, I did say Nutbrown, one word, no hyphen. I’m laughing because it’s also my last name and I always get the same reaction….”

Operator: “Oh….I’m sorry….”

Me: No Problem!! It’s my married name……go ahead and giggle. I do. It’s a conversation piece.”

Operator: “Well, don’t feel too bad. My married name is “Hole.”

Me: *Trying not to become hysterical* “Ohhhhh. That sucks. You win.”
