Making Memories of Us…….
Wednesday, August 26th, 2009
Once upon three years ago, a girl named Campbell bravely became a Nutbrown and the Nutbrown boy courageously accepted the Campbell girl in all her crazy because they both loved sunshine and sand and music and cocktails and if that’s not a good enough reason to get hitched well, what the hell is, really? Now, she makes him dance barefoot in the kitchen and he makes her laugh her face off, sometimes until drinks shoot out her nose and they always kiss goodnight and giggle like immature teeny boppers when they’re supposed to be sleeping. Soon, a wee little Nutbrown Newbie will join the love and they’ll all always kiss goodnight and live in the sunshine, happily ever after.
The End.
Happy Anniversary to my ’Duke.’

Lazy people.
I work in a building that has 12 floors. I work on the twelfth floor. At least twice a week while headed down after the early AM shift some lazy arse boards the elevator and goes down one damn floor.
Seriously? You can’t walk DOWN one friggin’ flight of stairs and NOT make the elevator stop with 7 people on it so you can hop on for the shortest ride ever? In the name of all that is good and holy….take the stairs….DOWN! It’s not like you have to go UP 8 stairs and really exert yourself.
Wow.
And these people truly don’t seemed ashamed or even aware of their unindustrious behaviour.
Brutal.
Thanks for listening.
Happy Monday.
Don’t forget to use your legs.
PS…Yes, as a matter of fact I HAVE walked down all 12 flights of stairs before. Three times. And twice up all 12 flights. So there.
Welcome to the Future……..

This is my new favourite song…..
Thursday, August 13th, 2009
Todd and I have adopted it as our new theme song.
Baby Nutbrown will have a lot of sand in his diaper as his Mommy and Daddy are basically just beach bums disguised as responsible adults.

“TOES”Zac Brown Band
I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand
Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand
Life is good today. Life is good today.
Well, the plane touched down just about 3 o’clock
And the city’s still on my mind
Bikinis and palm trees danced in my head
I was still in the baggage line
Concrete and cars are there own prison bars like this life I’m living in
But the plane brought me farther.
I’m surrounded by water
And I’m not going back againI got my toes in the water, ass in the sand
Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand
Life is good today. Life is good today.
Adios and vaya con dios
Yeah I’m leaving GA
And if it weren’t for tequila and pretty senoritas
I’d have no reason to stay
Adios and vaya con dios
Yeah I’m leaving GA
Gonna lay in the hot sun and roll a big fat one
And grab my guitar and play
Four days flew by like a drunk Friday night as the summer drew to an
End
They can’t believe that I just couldn’t leave
And I bid adieu to my friends
Because my bartender she’s from the islands
Her body’s been kissed by the sun
And coconut replaces the smell of the bar and I don’t know if it’s her or
The rum
I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand
Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand
Life is good today. Life is good today.
Adios and vaya con dios
A long way from GA
Yeah, and all the muchachas they call me “big poppa” when I throw
Pesos their way
Adios and vaya con dios
A long way from GA
Hey boss do me a favor and pour me some Jaeger
And I’ll grab my guitar and play
Adios and vaya con dios
Going home now to stay
The senoritas don’t care-o when there’s no dinero
I got no money to stay
Adios and vaya con dios
Going home now to stay
I’m just gonna kick it on the lake
Put my ass in a lawn chair
Toes in the clay
Not a worry in the world a PBR on the way
Life is good today. Life is good today.
