Well…..other than “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” of course….

 It’s called “One Magic Christmas” and it’s about an Angel named Gideon and how he helps a little girl  and her family cope and overcome tragedy one Christmas. Many parts of it are very sad but there’s a big ol’ Christmas miracle at the end!

Rent it….buy it…..just watch. You’ll love it and recognize some very famous faces AND places. Some of it was filmed around Meaford and Owen Sound.

The actor who plays Gideon is Harry Dean Stanton who was in “Pretty in Pink” and most recently on the show “Big Love” with Chloe Soveigny and Bill Paxton. Another great show…but I digress. Canadian gal Sarah Polley also has a role in “One Magic Christmas.”

My Mama and I used to curl up and watch this flick every year. I hope I’ll do it with my babies someday too.

that maybe I’d like to make  a roast duck for Christmas. I was actually going to solicit your help via jennifer@kix106online.com because I’ve never roasted a duck before. I’ve eaten duck and loved it.  Then while searching for photos for this post I found this:
