We’re so excited! (I’m going to have TWO Princesses to spoil!) And yes, I cried like a baby when I found out it was a girl. Picture a big, broad man – head down in the ultrasound room as my lovely wife rubs my head and laughs. What a sight!
Anyhow, my family has a shortage of girls so this is going to be BIG news! The only problem is…I DON’T KNOW ANY GOOD GIRL NAMES!
Can you help us out? Please?

Hey Jeffy!

I would think that with your VERY Scottish name, you’d be definitely looking for something Celtic for your little Sweetie!
Something like Moira or Isla is really nice for a wee lass…..

Congrats on your soon-to-be baby girl. It’s so much easier to be creative with girls’ names! (I had two boys, never got to use my girly names) Sixteen years ago, my girl name of choice was Fallon. (I probably would have spelled it “Fallyn”, just to be different)
Today, I really like Delaney.
Good Luck!

Jude!!
- Brittany HeinsHi Jeff,
- KellyI have no children, but tons of nieces and nephews. I hear that combining the parents names to create a new name is all the rage these days. I don’t recall your wife’s name (Erin?) but say it were Erin, you might call your wee girl Jerin, or Effie…good luck and congrats to you all!
We named our daughter Kyla Heather, and she is now taking Radio Broadcasting at Algonquin.
- Sylvia NoortI hope that you have more than one bathroom in your house, if not, you’ll be waiting in line to sh t, shower and shave. As for the name of your daughter, may I suggest a combination of both yours and your wifes names, initials. When I had my daughter, I wanted a unique name. At the time, Amanda, Ashley, Jessica, were the popular names. I made up my own name for our daughter, her fathers name is Jeff also and I’m Sandi, I took the first two letters of our names and came up with Jessa. Her full name is Jessa Jade Leduc, she is a real jem. When we had our son I wanted to call him Saje,or Brendon, again a combination of family names(Brenda, his grandmother, and Donald his grandfather). Anyway, Congratulations, I hope I’ve given you some helpful hints to giving your daughter a totally unique name. Best wishes to you and your family during this festive season, and make sure you give your wife a huge KISS and HUG for having such beautiful babies, she deserves it.
- Sandi McConnellHey Jeff,
A lot of my names are already there (boy a lot of names ending in ‘a’!) I don’t think I saw this one yet, how about ‘Lauren’? it’s kinda simple and sophisticated.
