Doggie Wash

March 16th, 2010 by Jay

This can be a MESSY time of year for our pets. I saw this machine a couple of weeks back, and thought “why do they only have this in Japan??”

You put your dog inside the “washing machine” and about 30 minutes later out comes a squeaky clean pet that’s been washed, rinsed, and dried! I’m sure you’ll get that “sad sack” look for a bit, but that will surely be forgotten after a treat or two! LOL

Handsome

March 9th, 2010 by Jay

What makes a man handsome? Who comes to mind when the word “handsome” is uttered? Maybe a movie, or TV star? Your spouse, or family member?

Jimmy Kimmel? LOL

Well, it might be now! Jimmy managed to get all of these “handsome men” together in one room for his show Sunday night.  It’s a little long, but worth every minute. Enjoy!

National Anthem

March 4th, 2010 by Jay

 canada-flag.jpg

There’s talk today of perhaps changing the words in the O Canada anthem from In all thy sons command to either In all of us command, or even perhaps Thou dost in us command.

Like a friend of mine said, “catchy, eh?”

By the way, as I type this, 96% of people taking our Jay & Billie Jo survey on the issue say LEAVE IT ALONE!!

I do want to share this commercial with you. Clear Kids are the best - especially when they’re dressed as athletes LOL!

What do you do if you were one of the original artists on We Are The World 25 years ago, but you weren’t invited back for the new recording? Well, if you’re Huey Lewis, you just go ahead and record the song yourself! LOL

We Are The World

February 16th, 2010 by Jay

It’s hard to believe that 25 years has gone by since this song was recorded to raise money for starving children in Africa. Now, after the tragedy in Haiti, the baton has been passed to a new group of artists. This time, all money raised will help the Haitian Relief Efforts. Go to www.itunes.com and purchase the song (and the video!)

Here’s a look at the new video which debuted this past Friday night.

Superbowl Commercials

February 8th, 2010 by Jay

Like most of us, I was stuck watching the biggest game of the year on CTV and missed out on the terrific, multi million dollar commercials that air in the U.S.

Thankfully, you can catch them all by clicking here

I haven’t seen them all yet, but my favorite has got to be the promo for The Late Show with David Letterman. The spot was shot last Tuesday afternoon, under the strictest of secrecy which involved both Mr. Leno and Ms. Winfrey both flying to New York, and arriving incognito at the theater, while Mr. Letterman was in the midst of taping his show for that night. It also involved Jay wearing a disguise: hooded sweatshirt, glasses and faux mustache so he would slip by fans unnoticed entering the theatre! Brilliant!
