Countdown To The Medals

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Yup, we’re getting that much closer.

Trophies, pennants and medals.

First up, the Golden Horseshoe Bowl and the Metro Bowl - both at the Rogers Centre. There will likely be more football players than spectators. Unless there’s a last minute push and giveaway of tickets to get people in to prove me wrong. There must be some wisdom to this watering down of a sport that is seriously hurting in the Greater Toronto Area - in numbers of participants and the quality of the game. Don’t believe me, check it out?

Sunday morning at 9:30, we’ll speak with one of the top high school female basketball players in this city. Who? Alright, Kayla Grossett from Thomson Collegiate - and she’s already put her signature on a scholarship to an NCAA Division One school
