The Possession starring Kyra Sedgwick and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who I always mistake for Javier Bardem…back to the movie…I liked it, although, and maybe this is the old in me coming out…they have it way too loud in the theatres anymore. Almost makes it unenjoyable. Having said that, the volume did play a part in the intensity of some scenes, and I’ll admit, I did jump in a few spots. It was a refreshing twist on the old tale of possession and exorcism, bringing in a different culture altogether and their beliefs…the Hasidic Jews. It’s based on a true story…but in Hollywood, they should probably place very loosely in the beginning
3.5 / 5. What’s the last movie you saw at the theatre? Give a review in 10 words or less!

A true professional, he keeps it together…I would have pulled a Champ: I snap, I lose it…kick to the ankle as he falls on his face followed with a Wayne Rooney bicycle kick to the wedding tackle, and face stomp like I’m putting out a fire

If the “SSity” reference is lost on you, type “SS lightning bolts” in the internet search engine you use!
The city and Health Unit are reviewing the feasibility of implementing a bylaw to ban smoking from all municipally owned or operated outdoor recreation areas.
That, I get. The last thing a child, or anyone participating in physical activities should be forced to smell and breathe is smoke.
It would also ban smoking from public and private outdoor patios where food and drinks are served. The first step is getting input from the community. This, I have issue with! Public…go fot it! Privately owned establishment…BACK OFF. Over stepping your bounds!
Why? Why are they asking for input? You know they won’t pay any attention to it…it’s just lip service and the few will do as they please to the masses. Some people aren’t meant to be in positions of power and some have been in power so long they become drunk with it…City of North Bay, stick to what you should be doing and that’s administering infrastructure and services to the residents of the City and not sticking your noses any deeper into the running of privately owned businesses who are already bylawed and governed to death. Tell ya what…next time the Mayor and the City Councilors want to give themselves a big fat raise, lets have one of these Feasibility studies and get the public input on that…only, once you send your response, it’s made public on the screen and not held back and kept private to be manipulated and twisted to their benefit. You are ELECTED officials…remember that. This is not a dictatorship…Yet! If we don’t wake up soon, and “Take the Power Back” as Rage Against the Machine suggested, we might as well jump in the Delorean, head back to 1945 and lose the war.

When an older guy drives a new sports car or a shorter fella drives a big truck or SUV, the jokes fly about having a midlife crisis or he’s over compensating for lack of twig and giggle berries. Well, what does this say? LOL

Rory Mcllroy wins the PGA Championship by 8 strokes over the weekend, his 2nd major…I wonder if he’s had any moments like this on the links: you should know not to stand in front of the tee box area…as Red Forman would say “Dumb Ass”

This is not to make fun of this individual and whatever condition they may or may not have, but to point out the shear stupidity of what was attempted
Granted, I’m guessing she may have done and succeeded at this in the past, but the law of averages are against you. Lesson learned?

I’m not trying to be insensitive, but honestly, when does it end? How much longer must we continue to pay? At what point is someone going to stand up and say the handouts are over, we’re sorry it happened all those years ago, but now it’s time to take ownership and responsibility on your own, moving forward. We can coexist, without loss of cultural significance. How much longer must we pay AND be kept in the dark?
This is why East Ferris Mayor Bill Vrebosch is my hero!
East Ferris Mayor Bill Vrebosch walked out of a meeting about a massive Ontario aboriginal land claim Tuesday morning because he was asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. “It’s not transparent . . . and it goes against my whole philosophy of politics,” said Vrebosch, noting he is unwilling to meet in “secrecy” without reporting back to his council and the public.
Land claim details to be made public…not so fast; read on!
