A three-year-old Houston, Texas girl is recovering from flying off the Techno Jump Ride at RodeoHouston. She fell onto a platform and suffered head, neck and back injuries, and is doing well considering and has since been released from the hospital. The toddler went on the ride with her eight-year-old brother. Leroy Shafer, the chief operating officer of RodeoHouston, says the girl met the height requirements for the ride, but should not have been allowed to go on it without an adult.

If there’s one thing I have noticed about North Bay, which I truly love, it’s the willingness of the citizens, for the most part, to look out for each other and protect each others interests…it’s the sign of a great community. Sometimes it takes a newbie or an outsider, which I still condsider myself still to be, to point these little facts out. Be proud of the community you have here, it is unique and wonderful, and I believe I can speak from experience having lived in no fewer than 5 communities in the past 15 years (10 in the radio industry). I am proud to call North Bay my new home, and hope to do so for many years…as long as you’ll have me, the boss don’t fire me!
