Hey Got Gamers,

Don’t feel bad if you were surprised by this one, because I was caught off guard by it as well.  If you still haven’t heard the news, Sony announced that they’re getting into the tablet market by releasing the Sony Tablet S later this month.

Now as long as no major revisions are made, this is what the Tablet S should look like.

But if you’re the type of person who just likes the facts. Here’s the Sony Tablet S in writing:

• 9.4-inch high resolution touchscreen display
• NVIDIA®Tegra™ 2 CPU processor
• Built-in Wi-Fi® compatibility
• Front and Rear facing cameras
• USB and SD card ports

It’s also worth mentioning that the Sony Tablet S will weight 590 grams and will run on version 3.1 of the Android operating system.

Now it’s probably around this time that you’re asking yourself, “why is a Got Game blog focusing on this tablet?” Well normally we wouldn’t, but a big part of this announcment was Sony saying that their Tablet S will be PlayStation certified. 

So what exactly does that mean? 

We have no idea to be honest, but likely Karol Warminiec does. He’s the Product Training Supervisor for the Sony Tablet S and (in the audio file below this paragraph) he explains the meaning of PlayStation certification, custom gaming controls, universal remotes, and a tons of other things that won’t fit into a written description.
