Hey Got Gamers,
If you listened to Got Game live today, then you’ll know my final comment was used to tell everyone about a big interivew that we were not able to fit on the show this week.
In this interview, I had a chance to talk to Kevin O’Leary, who works for EA-DICE, about Badfield Bad Company 2; and if you’re sitting on the fence about Bad Company 2 then I highly suggest you check out this interview.
Now I spent most of the time I had with Kevin asking him about all the improvements DICE has made since the last game, but don’t want to steal Kevin’s thunder, so I’ll let him explain that in this audio file.

I also wanted to say that we’ll have this week’s show blog, with lots of bonus content, up later tonight! So don’t forget to check the Got Game blog again very soon.

So I just picked this up and went right into the Multiplayer….it’s super fun….the scale of the levels are massive….and it looks gorgeous! the matches are a lot more team based….kinda similar to the teamwork in the Rainbow Six games….a real bonus is that you get an option to spawn next to your teammates when you die instead of the typical spawn point at the other side of the map….anyhow…I have a feeling this is going to eat hours of my life away.
- RandyHey Randy,
I know what you mean by this game could eat hours of your life. It is just so much fun. It’s shame that I’ve already had to move onto the next thing, but that’s the burden of a professional game reviewer.
Anyhow, I was happy to see the team based games and spawns. It felt like the first real battlefield game I’ve played in a long while because of those reasons. It’s good to see DICE going back to what makes their games fun.
- Bryan CalhounYeah, the last Bad Company rubbed me the wrong way, I was annoyed that the enemy locked on you even before they were on your screen or the fact the aiming was off.
But I haven’t had many complaints about the new one…it’s been a blast.
I’ve been juggling this and Saboteur while I patiently await the new Street Fighter…
what game are you working on now?
- RandyYou don’t find that the enemy AI lockes onto you to early in this game too? That’s one of my complaints. It seems DICE was really pushing environmental effects with this one. Half the game you can’t see 5 feet in front of your face because of some snow storm or dust cloud. However, the AI can see you no matter how bad visibility gets. Dirty cheating AI!!!!
Right now I am trying an experiement with MLB10: The Show. More details on the next show.
- Bryan Calhounhmmm I’m playing through the campaign on hard right now and it seems fine at the moment. I do find it a bit unfair that the enemy AI sees you through all the weather effects….but overall I think the “cheapness” of the enemy AI has been improved this game….Almost got all the multiplayer achievements.
- RandyWell a dirty cheater is still a dirty cheater, but you’re right. The AI’s have become less dirty since the original.
