Hey Got Gamers!

As we start the final week of January, and winter drags on, there are very few things out there to keep your spirits up during these cold winter blues. We, of the Got Game crew, suggest a big helping of the Got Game Podcast (which you can find below this paragraph) to help you through this time. However, please don’t call us in the morning. We’re really not qualified to answer any of your medical questions.

On this edition of Got Game:

  • We go over the weekly news, including: the new Rockband Network, and the Apple Tablet
  • We talk to Ben Jones of Zipper Interactive about their new Massive Action Game
  • We have our reviews of Dark Void and Vancouver 2010: The Official Olympic Game

|

All that and more on this edition of Got Game!

Also, if you haven’t seen it yet, here is one of the first images of the new Apple Tablet.

Personally, I don’t know if this tablet is a good idea. I am not really feeling the same thrill that Zack has for it. To me it just seems like a big version of the iPhone. However, what about you guys? Do you care about this new Apple product?

MAG seems like a very cool game. I agree with Bryan, not many people have headset on PSN.

Do you think they should have packaged in some cheap blue-tooth headset with the game?

Personally, I am not going to answer that question right now Jushin, simply because I am in the process of writing a editorial about MAG that I’ll be posting tuesday.

    Hey guys,

What is going to be the next big mjulti-player fps WITH dedicated servers?

    Cheers

    Hey Neil,

The first game I know for sure that will have dedicated servers is Rebellions’ Alien vs Predator (which launches Feb 16th), but I wouldn’t call it a FPS exactly. It’s seems to be more of an action game with first person elements.

Bioshock 2 comes out before that (launches February 9th), but I haven’t heard 2K confirm dedicated servers for that game.

I do know for sure that Battlefield Bad Company 2 (which comes out in March) will have dedicated servers for sure. We found this out when EA announced on their development blog that Bad Company 2 will be using PunkBuster on there dedicated servers to try and stop cheaters.
