Hey Justin,

You may say you don't comment much on the blog, but you make up for it with a great post. Quality over Quantity. I want to reply to it right now because I don't agree with everything you said, but as Cooper said during our review of MW2, we didn't have time for that decision then. We're hoping to have it during the next show. Tune in because I think you'll find that one really interesting.

Hey Guys,

Haven't commented on the blogs in sometime. I listen to the podcast and perhaps the idea of violent media of whether games should be classified as "games" or perhaps "art"

After listening to Bryan's comment of your not really shooting terrorist your just shooting a bunch of 1s and 0s. I have to disagree with Bryan on this point.

Even though games have give free reign such as Modern Warfare 2 and GTA 4. There is a social commentary. I don't think any developer would consider a character they created as a bunch of binary code. Its the same thing for an author when he or she creates a character.

This last few generation of games have gone BEYOND the idea that games are mindless killing.

I'd like to point out two examples Metal Gear Solid and GTA 4. Hideo Kojima is making a social commentary about Nuclear weapons. Even after the game is completed he gives you facts about the disarmament of Nuclear Warheads.

In GTA 4 they gave you a morality system. You guys played it. You know that your actions had consequence.

It was a great experience feeling the moral dilemma your character faced.

Anyways I don't want to ramble. Good discussion. I love to hear what other people think.

Perhaps the term "game" needs to be removed.

Fat chance.

Cheers
