Two very important things happened in the world of football last Sunday. The first was the NFL hall of fame ceremony. The other (and the more important) one was our Madden NFL show; or as we like to call it, the Got Game podcast for Sunday, August 9th, 2009. And as luck would have it, you can find it below this sentence.

On this week’s show we obviously talked about Madden; however that was just the tip of the iceberg. We actually had the chance to touch on a whole range of topics that included, but that were not limited to:
- A California man getting arrested for modding consoles; and the role of piracy in our society
- the pain of having to patch games
- one company escaping the wrath of EA’s stranglehold on the NFL player license
Also, here is the picture that Zack was talking about on our latest show. We have not been able to confirm anything yet, but this picture sure does resemble the Backbreaker game that NaturalMotion has been designing for the PS3 and Xbox360.

In the end, one hour is never enough, so most weeks we end up filling our blog with bonus content that we couldn’t fit in the actual show. This week is no different as we had to pull an interview from the show because of time, so we’ve decided to put it here on the blog. Momin and I had a chance to talk with Sherry Myrow of GamerWidow.com about video game addiction; and she has some jaw dropping stories, warning signs, and possible solutions to share with you. That interview is located below this sentence.

Next week is our NHL special, and it could get interesting with EA’s coverboy, Patrick Kane, getting arrested for allegedly assaulting a cabbie for 20 cents.
We sit down with folks from both sides of the hockey coin – NHL 2K10 and NHL10.
Should be fun.
