If you missed it the first time, or want to re-live your favorite moment, here is the one thing that even Batman could not stop from escaping Arkham Asylum. It’s the podcasted version of the Got Game show for Sunday, June 28, 2009.

This week we caught up with Bryan Del Rizzo from NVIDIA who explained to us how easy it is to bring 3D gaming into your home, Today!

And as usual we had trouble fitting all the information from this past week into a single hour. We gave you the needed knowledge, but if you want to expand your 3D horisons, check out the extended interview Zack, Momin and I did with Bryan Del Rizzo.

While we were there, we also had a chance to speak with Marco Nalli who represents Samsung Canada. He broke down the workings of the Samsung’s 2233RZ, a 120 Hz LCD monitor, that also happens to be one of the 4 corner stone of this 3D technology. However, he can probably explain it far better than I ever could, so I will let him do the talking. You can find Zack’s interview with him below this sentence.

Although, if you are sitting there thinking, I have no idea what they are talking about, I would suggest that you start with our coverage of 3D gaming in this blog post.

During last week’s show we also had a chance to talk with Patrick Kane (cover athlete for EA’s NHL 2010) and John Tavares (1st overall pick in the 2009 NHL draft). Here they are holding the cover of the next installment of EA’s hockey juggernaut.

Sadly, we ran out of time, so we did not play our entire interview with Mr. Kane; but fear not for it is here below this sentence, from start to finish, for your listening pleasure.

I know this is off topic but I wasn’t sure if you did a write up on Fight Night 4. I just want to say I was completely dissapointed with the fact that you have no choice but to punch with the R stick. Dont’ know what you think but punching with the analog is garbage.

    Hey John,

I’ve only played a few hours of Fight Night so far, but I have to say that I don’t mind the controls. There is a bit of a learning curve, but I found that they worked well enough for me once I get some practice with them.

But I can understand where you are coming from. I can’t stand motion controls at all. They are never accurate, and usually only hinder my progress. However, a lot of people go nuts for them. I do not know why.

I guess it all comes down to personal choice, but I just wish that more companies these days would give me more choices if they want to map their controls in unusual ways.

I have absolutely no complaints about the Fight Night controls… other than the unfortunate “queuing” or sequencing that the right stick can lead to.

Otherwise, it’s fluid, fast, and more accurate than previous renditions.

Hey here is my thought and weigh in on using EA total control stick. I have had heard rumors that EA is planning to patch the game with button control to satisfy those who don’t like the analog.

But can I just say this. This is the 4th Fight Night and people should learn to play the game and adapt to it. We have had 4 generations and they all used the Right Stick. Just roll with punches and adapt. Gamers have to evolve just as much as publishers

Now I’ve played some old school boxing game and I maybe old but I’m not that old. But if you recall games like Punchout used buttons and were based on knowing a pattern. Heck some games like Evander Holyfield’s Real Deal Boxing on Sega Genesis used buttons with combination on the D-Pad. And it was hard.

Boxing is a sport and the minute you start to add button combination and directional pad movements it becomes a fighting game. Not a Sports game

I don’t oppose buttons being given but it should be a handicap to the player because their movements are limited to button presses. Similar to NHL 09 which offered the NHL 94 button scheme which was a choice but you could not do as fancy movements with the puck.

I agree with Zack, the stick is fluid and fast and accurate.
