Xbox has announced more content for one of the best selling console based Real-time strategy (R.T.S.) games of the current generation: Halo Wars. There is no reason to trade in your discs for store credit just yet as a brand new add-on game pack titled “Strategic Options” offers you three new ways to fight for control of the universe.

According to a press release from Xbox Canada the new add-on pack will include:

1. A version of R.T.S. based capture the flag known as Keep-away Mode. In it “teams will battle it out to capture a free-roaming Forerunner Sentinel to score points before the other team. Capture three sentinels to claim victory.”
2. A contest of muscle and might known as Tug of War Mode was also added; the name of this game is to build the greatest army you can to win. Xbox Canada says that, “defeating enemies is essential, but success is determined by a combination of the army, buildings and resources left standing in the end.”
3. Finally Reinforcement Mode will show the world who the true generals are as extra soldiers “are provided in successive waves. Players must adapt their tactics and use the ever-changing set of units to outwit and outlast the enemy.”

There has been no official price or release date announced so far, but it has been confirmed that any achievement hunters out there can look forward to an extra 100 points worth of achievements.
