Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day is headed to rehab for substance abuse after this incident at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas.  A rep has said Green Day will postpone some of their upcoming appearances.

Tom Cruise tries his hand at a musical film this month, playing Stacee Jaxx in the movie Rock of Ages, which comes out June 15th.  Until now all we’d heard were snippets of songs in the trailers, but here at The Fox we got our hands on the soundtrack this week.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Gowan’s classic album “Great Dirty World”.  Lawrence Gowan is celebrating with an album re-release and a Canadian tour.  Tonight we are lucky enough to have him at The Capitol Centre.  There are still a few tickets available for the show.  Dont ‘s miss a Canadian legend!

Yesterday we talked to Paige Cipparone, a West Ferris student who is headed to Toronto today to audition for Canada’s Got Talent.  Paige and her uncle, Tim Beckett will perform for judges this afternoon.

We’ve discovered that there’s plenty of local performers in Toronto this week showcasing their talent.  The local contingent includes  Chris Renaud, Nathalie Restoule, Tena Jones and Tom Carriere.  Good luck to all of our locals competing for a spot on the show.

The Foo Fighters always go above and beyond the music! They posted a very cool video of the band dressed up as truckers to set fans up with concert dates and they recently broke out the trucker costumes again in Kansas City. The Westboro Baptist Church came to picket outside the Foo Fighters show and were treated to a surprise concert.

Four kids took to the streets to shoot a video during Hurricane Irene.  Some people will do anything for their 15 minutes of fame.  What do you think? Funny or dumb?
