Don Cherry’s Piano Desk

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011

Those who know me, know that I use my hands alot when I talk.  I say it’s the Frenchman in me.  Don Cherry has a bit of a hands thing going on on Coach’s Corner, and someone has decided to have some fun with it.

I give you, Don Cherry’s Piano Desk!

Chocolates are not for dogs!

Tuesday, December 20th, 2011

Simba my Sheltie opened the wrapped Quality Street chocolates that have been under the tree for the last week and tried to eat through the tin! Unbelievable! I’m glad he was unsuccessful!
The first thing my daughter said was…”you can’t give those as a gift now…I know someone that can take care of them for you”.
They were good chocolates ;)

New Three Stooges Movie Trailer

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

Came across the trailer for the new Three Stooges movie.  This film has been plagued by plenty of cast changes and script re-writes over the past few years.  The trailer doesn’t  make me want to rush out and see it.  How about you?  Does it look worth the price of admission?

Lions CTV Children’s Christmas Telethon

Monday, December 5th, 2011

What a day! I had the opportunity to take part in this year’s Christmas Telethon.  Over $50,000 was raised to support families in North Bay and area. You would not believe what goes on behind the scenes at an event like this.  So many cameras and crew along with volunteers and a slew of talented people performing on stage; all working together to make an event like this possible. The Canadore students were awesome and the Lions members helped to keep everything on track.  I think the best part of the day was hearing the phones ring, knowing that each call helped to ensure that those who may have fallen on hard times would have a helping hand when they need it most.

Happy Holidays.

Awkward Christmas Photos!

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

The Fox Awkward Christmas Photo Contest is underway.  You could win a $200 gift card from Photo Metro for submitting your photo.  Upload your picture here on the website.  Just go to the contest section for all the details.  We’ll narrow down the field and the photo with the most votes wins.

I dug up this photo of me and my sisters with Santa.  I think I was five or six years old at the time.  Before this photo was taken, my sister Lauri(on the left) was pitching a fit and crying up a storm.  As you can see, a couple of lollipops settled her right down!

Good times!

Here’s to a great holiday season and good luck in our Fox Awkward Christmas Photo Contest!
