The Muppets are Back!
Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011
The Muppet Movie opens today in theatres and you can see it here in North Bay! Mitch and I checked out the preview and it actually looks pretty good…although I did tell Mitch he may look strange if he goes to see it by himself, I told him he could borrow my kids!
Hometown Boy Makes Good!
Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011
North Bay’s own Jamie Spilchuk is on the tube tonight. Until now, he’s been known mostly for his appearances in Rogers commercials, but tonight the Widdifield grad plays a bad guy on CTV’s Flashpoint. Jamie also has a role in the upcoming movies “And Now A Word From Our Sponsor” and “A Fish Story”. He’s also been doing voice work for the animated comedy, “Stoked”. These days Jamie divides his time between his pad in Toronto and a home in Los Angeles. Way to go Jamie!
Military Reunions with Man’s Best Friend
Wednesday, November 16th, 2011
Chances are you’ve seen footage of emotional reunions when military personnel return home from fighting overseas. The sight of a family welcoming home their husband or Dad is kind of cool to see. Those wives and kids aren’t the only ones missing the man of the house though. Check out these moments when man’s best friend gets in on the action!
The Foursome hits the stage this week
Monday, November 14th, 2011
The Gateway Theatre Guild’s production of Norm Foster’s “The Foursome” opens this Wednesday at Ecole Publique Odysee. I can’t say enough about my fellow castmembers. Jeremy Cormier, Tom Hilliard and Chris Summersby have been rockin’ the stage in rehearsals and director Carolyn Samuel and our crew have created an extraordinary production. The material is so incredibly funny and it will be nice to finally have an audience over the next two weeks so we can hear where the laughs will land. For ticket information go to www.gatewaytheatreguild.ca The cast was in for an interview this morning and here’s a portion of our chat.

All the candy’s gone?!?
Friday, November 4th, 2011
This has to be one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. Jimmy Kimmel put out a challenge for parents to tape the reaction of their children after they told them they ate all of their Halloween candy.
I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about sneaking a few here or there.
Let’s just say there are a lot of tears in the attached video…and a lot of angry kids!
Llamas with Hats
Thursday, November 3rd, 2011
So Mitch and I had some grade nine students join us on Wednesday for “bring your kids to work day” and at first, we were a little concerned about corupting the children of others…but look how the tables have turned…
Avery Warkentin of Widdifield introduced us to “Llamas with Hats”…I think Mitch and I may have been corrupted, cause this is funny stuff!
