Yesterday we talked to Paige Cipparone, a West Ferris student who is headed to Toronto today to audition for Canada’s Got Talent.  Paige and her uncle, Tim Beckett will perform for judges this afternoon.

We’ve discovered that there’s plenty of local performers in Toronto this week showcasing their talent.  The local contingent includes  Chris Renaud, Nathalie Restoule, Tena Jones and Tom Carriere.  Good luck to all of our locals competing for a spot on the show.

The Foo Fighters always go above and beyond the music! They posted a very cool video of the band dressed up as truckers to set fans up with concert dates and they recently broke out the trucker costumes again in Kansas City. The Westboro Baptist Church came to picket outside the Foo Fighters show and were treated to a surprise concert.

This man gives a hilarious eyewitness account of an accident.  You have to see it to believe it!

One of my favourite game shows has always been the Family Feud.  John O’Hurley will always be my favourite host from Fued…I miss Peterman!

Steve Harvey is the current host and he’s had a few great moments on the show…like the one I’ve attached!  The guy in the clip says what we were all thinking.

Jim Calarco from North Star Talent was in today to talk about the North Bay premiere of Dark Rising:Summer Strikes Back.  The film was shot in North Bay and area in 2009 and will be shown at the Nipissing University Theatre on September 17th.  Doors open at 7:30 and tickets are just $5.  Have a look at the trailer to see Summer Vale and her posse in action!

Ben & Jerry’s is coming out with a new flavour called “Schwetty Balls”.  Some of us will remember the Saturday Night Live skit with Alec Baldwin as Pete Schwetty, the owner of a seasonal confections shop.  The “balls” are made of rum and milk chocolate malt, covered in fudge, and swimming in a pint of Fair Trade vanilla.
