I’m Royal Weddinged Out!
Wednesday, April 27th, 2011
Enough already with this Royal Wedding. Surely I can’t be the only one that’s had enough! Do I care what their first song is going to be, which celebrities got snubbed or what’s being served for a meal at their reception? That would be a resounding no!!!! I can’t imagine anyone getting up at 3 or 4 in the morning to watch this debacle. I might take a bet on how long it will last though. I might even tune in if Ozzy Osbourne was raising a glass to William and Kate.

Snow in April!
Wednesday, April 20th, 2011
To some, the sight of snow in April is a huge downer…especially right before a long weekend. I say we embrace it!
Let’s look at a few reasons to be optimistic about the snow: This should be the last we see of it; Kids had a snow day, could work in your favour if you get them to clean the house while they’re home; Who doesn’t love a good snowball fight; You won’t have to look at all the dirt where your front lawn should be; and best of all, you’ll be shoveling snow instead of dog crap!
Let me know if you see a good side to the snow…or the bad side.
It’s “FAST. FIERCE. #WINNING” for Phil Pallen!
Thursday, April 14th, 2011
It’s “FAST. FIERCE. #WINNING” for Phil Pallen! He has made the short list for the Social Media Intern position offered by Charlie Sheen. We thought it would be cool to find out more about Phil and the gig…let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to be “winning” with Sheen? Phil is originally from Belleville and has launched a full campaign for this position. To kick off our interview we asked Phil about the other Canadian candidate from Vancouver…

Getting Called Out By Ron James
Monday, April 11th, 2011
Have you ever been heckled by a comedian? Well I had the equivalent of that happen today when we recorded an interview with comedian Ron James, who performs at The Capitol Centre this Sunday night. It was towards the end of the interview and we were wrapping things up. Ron was finishing a thought, and I waited until I thought he was done, but ended up cutting him off. It was at that point that he had a bit of good-natured fun with me. At least I think it was good-natured. Hmmm?

Turco Bet
Wednesday, April 6th, 2011
I heard a great story today about a Montreal fan that was betting on the Habs/Blackhawks game at the Bell Centre with none other than Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Marty Turco…wait it gets better…this is rumoured to be going on during the game while Turco was sitting onthe bench!
I have attached a link to the whole story where the fan tells what happened. There is a picture of a bill that the fan said Turco wrote on and a photo that is said to show the money actually changing hands.
It’s an interesting story. Some would say that it is against policy for players to bet on the game, while others will say it’s all in good fun.
What do you think? Check it out. Turco
Fast 5!
Tuesday, April 5th, 2011
I’ve always been a fan of the Fast and Furious movies (although I admit Tokyo Drift wasn’t all that great). Anyhow, when I heard that Fast 5 would be coming out soon with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker I was stoked! Definitely one to see in the theatre…especially since I found out The Rock is on board this time around! It looks like a wild ride with tons of action and hot fast cars! Its due out April 29th in Canada…here’s a sneak peak!

New Provincial Pet Tax Goes Too Far!
Friday, April 1st, 2011
The provincial government has announced a plan to bring in new revenue by taxing pet owners based on the weight of their pets. Pets under 45 pounds will be taxed a dollar per pound, while owners of any animal 45 pounds or over will pay a fee of $1.50 per pound. Much like your drivers license renewal, the tax can be paid at Service Ontario locations. The tax is due by November 30th. As you can expect, many pet owners across the province are upset about a tax on their animals. We are already taxed to death and many pet owners think the new tax is unfair. There is an online petition to try to convince the McGuinty government to scrap the tax. Sign the petition by clicking here
