Jon Anderson
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010
As people around the world turned off their lights in recognition of Earth Hour, the audience at the Capitol Centre enjoyed a very spiritual show. Jon Anderson took to a stage lit by candles, and at 8:30 the lights were turned down in the theatre. Jon played a diverse set list of music while playing a variety of instruments, it was a riveting show.
One of our Fox listeners won a special meet and greet with Jon Anderson after the show. Here are Fox rock raffle winners Robert Champagne and Liz Nichols with Jon Anderson, taken in the Green room at the Capitol Centre on Saturday March 27, 2010.

Ringette
Thursday, March 18th, 2010
The Tim Hortons 2010 Provincial A Ringette Championship Tournament gets underway today. Throughout North Bay, Sturgeon Falls and Powasson, 49 Teams will be taking part.
The RBC-Ontario Power Generation 2010 Provincial A Ringette Championship Opening Ceremony will get underway tonight at 7pm at the Canadore College Athletics Centre. I will be co-hosting the event with Isabelle Belanger, a goaltender for the West Ferris Ringette Association. I had the chance to interview Isabelle this week and found out quite a bit about what a fun and skilled sport Ringette is.
During the opening ceremony Sam and Agnes Jacks will be celebrated for the invention of Ringette, and Peter Chirico will proclaim Ringette week.
Good luck to all taking part!

Addicted to Caffeine?
Wednesday, March 17th, 2010
So, perhaps you drink a little too much coffee or know someone who does? Energy drinks anyone? Chocolate covered coffee beans?
I’ve been known to drink a pot or two a day from time to time, but I’m betting none of us have anything on this dude. Dave Grohl loves his coffee as you can see in this hilarious video. Click here to check it out!
Zoe is a Rock Star!
Tuesday, March 16th, 2010
I’ve met a few Rock Stars in my day, but this little girl is one of the brightest lights I have ever seen!
Zoë was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and after two open heart surgeries she had a heart transplant when she was 6 months old. She was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma at the start of November 2009 and is currently under-going chemotherapy treatments to hopefully deal with this very rare type of Cancer.
Zoe has a pure and genuine love for music. Check out her Facebook page, especially the video section and feel free to write Zoe a Rockstar fan letter!

Cezar

It takes all kinds of people to make up a family. If you have siblings, chances are they have different preferences, hobbies, and careers.
I come from a family mixed with half and step brothers and sisters. I have a younger brother involved with air cadets, one involved in electrical engineering, a sister in nursing and a brother that enjoys an interesting and sometimes risky past time.
Check out my step brother “Cezar” wrestling.
The Power of Music
Saturday, March 13th, 2010
I was at Canadian Music Week in Toronto this past week and had the chance to see the world premiere of a new video called “Wavin’ Flag” by Young Artists for Haiti. A number of Canadian acts have come together to give their time and efforts to help those affected by the Haiti earthquake. Sometimes music has the power to move you and affect change. I think this song will do just that. Keep an eye out for Sam Roberts, Tyler Connolly from Theory of a Deadman and Tom Cochrane among others. Watch the video here.
