I just got back from visiting my family down south, and could not believe how many dead animals I saw along the way.   

I have the feeling it may have something to do with all the construction along the major highways.  Where can the wildlife go?  They have to relocate their furry little families, but where?

On the flip side, maybe there are more raccoons this year, maybe there have always been poor unfortunate critters that have met their fate along major roadways…and I just happened to stay awake for the drive, and noticed this time around. 

Now I realize that some will say construction creates jobs, and makes the trip down South faster and those are great points which I can appreciate…but let’s remember the furry little bandits with the cute little fingers…many did not have the chance to enjoy Thanksgiving with their families this year, as they ended up on the side of the road, another casualty.
