So here we are, just a few short days away from this year’s Mattawa Voyageur Days festival. Once again, organizers have put together a solid line-up.
Thursday, local performers will get the chance to shine on the stage at Explorer’s Point during the Evening With The Stars. Friday is reserved for country entertainers Terri Clark and Adam Gregory. Saturday night the Fox is on board for the 12 To 12 Rock Where The Rivers Meet, this year including prog-rockers Saga to kick it off, followed by 54-40, Haywire, then Sass Jordan, and to finish off the night, two of the all-time greatest Canadian bands, Trooper, then Loverboy. Sunday, the weekend is capped off by former Coney Hatch singer and guitarist Carl Dixon and former member of Stxy, Dennis DeYoung.
If you are without a weekend wristband, or could use a few more for your friends, The Fox has partnered up with Molson for your chance to win four weekend wristbands. Just grab your cell phone and text SUBZERO to 25858 and you’ll be entered into the contest. There is no texting fee and we’ll announce the winner Thursday morning on the Fox.
Of course, Fox Freeloader Rock Stars can also win four wristbands for the weekend. Keep at it getting your ballots in for the draw which ends Thursday night. Vicki and I will announce the winner on Friday morning, and since you stuck with me this far into the blog, log in with your Rock Star user name and password and go to Earn Points. Click on Bonus Codes and enter the word “loverboy” to get 500 Rock Star points, good for one more ballot and a chance to win the Rock Raffle for four Voyageur Days wristbands. Good Luck!
