Well The Jays are mired in a six-game losing streak, including a sweep at the hands of Ken Anderson’s beloved BoSox and I must pay the price in the wake of our bet.  So it all goes down on Tuesday, May 27th from 7:30-9:00am in the Fox parking lot.  From what I understand, I am to sweep the parking lot decked out in a Red Sox jersey while being mocked by passersby.  Anyone who comes by can also rub a Boston Creme donut in my face and fill out a ballot to win Jays tickets.  When will I learn.  The only sure bet out of all my teams is the Pittsburgh Steelers!!!!!

The Fox needs your balls, golf balls that is. Years ago The Fox asked for your pens with company logos on them and we filled our control room. Now that we have this internet thing, we don’t need as many pens.  Instead, this summer we are looking for your logoed golf balls. I lose my balls alot…the woods…the water hazards, they seem to draw my balls like a magnet.

Toronto Blue Jays fans have a lot to celebrate in the early going.  The Jays continue to hit like there’s no tomorrow and are getting decent pitching from some unlikely candidates to remain in top spot in the American League East.  The pessimist in me keeps waiting for the bottom to drop out, but so far it has not happened.  The Jays have their biggest test of the season so far as they kick off a three game series tonight in Boston.  As of right now Toronto leads Boston by three and a half games in the division and the bet is on!

I have cheered for the Jays since they came into the league and the biggest Red Sox fan I know works right here in the building, so Ken Anderson and I have made a bet.  If the Jays win the series, Ken will be humiliated and if my Jays go down I will face the wrath of Mr. Anderson.  The only thing to be decided is what the humiliation will be.  Thanks to all the Fox listeners who have called in with some great ideas. If you have a humiliation in mind, please post it here and we’ll take it under consideration.

Am I the only one with no desire to see “Angels and Demons”?  Everyone I know is talking about this movie and I couldn’t care less.  I have not read any of Dan Brown’s books and I actually fell asleep watching “The Davinci Code?  Major YawnFest for me.  I’ll wait for the new Terminator movie thank you very much.

Actor Dom Deluise passed away yesterday at the age of 75.  For those of us who grew up with the “Cannonball Run” movies, he will be forever remembered as Captain Chaos, the big, goofy sidekick to Burt Reynolds’ J.J. McClure character.  Deluise also made us laugh in films such as Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs and the TV series, “The Dom Deluise Show”.  A very funny man has left us this week.
