Arden Is A Centerfold !
March 8th, 2012 by Forbes & Marshall
On this International Women’s Day, Jann Arden has found a unique way to celebrate women of all ages, shapes and sizes. By posing nude. In the April issue of ZOOMER magazine (on newstands March 12) she does the first centerfold of her career but it took a lot of convincing . In just sixty seconds, the mags publisher and photographer Bryan Adams had to persuade her that she was the right women for the job. She quickly realized that she would be the perfect choice. She’s turning 50 on March 27th and has struggled with body image her whole life. Age and fat pants be damned. Today is a day to celebrate all women, who are prefect just the way they are~ Forbes & Marshall

U2 and Davy Jones
March 4th, 2012 by Forbes & Marshall
It’s been a tribute week for Davy Jones who died suddenly of a heart attack last week. The Monkees sold over 65 million albums but the group members never made any money. Think of how much he gave in just three minutes to thousands of people at that concert. He will be missed.~ Forbes & Marshall
WILSON!
March 1st, 2012 by Forbes & Marshall
Just in case you were wondering, Wilson is the name of Susan Jacks kidney. All of her brothers were tested when she needed a transplant and it turns out that Billy was a perfect match. Ironically she sings about him in her Poppy Family hit “Which Way You Going Billy?” Billy apparently was “going” to the hospital and gave the ultimate gift. When they removed Billy’s kidney it was the size of a football, hence the name Wilson (a football brand name) Susan has a big show to benefit the Kidney Foundation at UVIC on March 10th. Get your tickets here!

February 23rd, 2012 by Forbes & Marshall
If you want to pay only $200 for a brand new $1800 wedding dress than this just may be what you are looking for! The Victoria Hospice fundraiser has got brides buzzing this week. There are about 85 gowns and some pretty nice bridesmaids dresses on the silent auction block and no…they didn’t fall off a truck. A local bridal boutique donated them and wants to see them go to good use.
Kevin Costner’s Whitney Tribute
February 20th, 2012 by Forbes & Marshall
A heartfelt tribute to Whitney by her Bodyguard co-star and dear friend. Kevin Costner hired her for the movie and also was the one who suggested she record one of his favorite Dolly Parton songs “I Will Always Love You”. The rest is history and unfortunately so is she. Very sad indeed.
Whitney
February 13th, 2012 by Forbes & Marshall
What can we say. The world has lost another famous icon to alleged drugs and alcohol. Whitney Houston they say, had switched from the more unacceptable crack to a more PC prescription recipe. As many people who dismiss this as just another out of control celebrity who took one too many pills, there are some who by the tragedy, may be snapped out of their own delusion and see the error of the drug induced ways. One would hope that her loss may actually be the wake up call to those family and friends who may be struggling with their own demons. Sadly, the loss of Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse in the span of three years did nothing to sober up this lost soul. In the end though, we will truly miss her and the joy she brought to so many. ~Forbes & Marshall
The Commercial of the Decade
February 8th, 2012 by Forbes & Marshall
This is an example of Canadian creativity at work. This ad aired only in Canada during the Super Bowl but now has been noticed south of the 49th. Two amature hockey teams in Ontario showed up for a regular game that is always played to an empty rink. The teams had no idea what was about to happen. When the game started, the seats suddenly filled with adoring fans, jumbo screens, mascots and a TV crew complete with the play by play announcers. The players had the experience of a lifetime and some advertising agencies are calling it the “commercial of the decade” Bet you’ll have to watch to twice~ Forbes & Marshall
