We had a bit of a shaker this morning! An earthquake that measured 4.4 at around 4am this morning. Some of you even felt it! Everytime it happens it reminds us how prepared (or not) we are. If want to feel a little more secure, maybe it’s time that we think about a survival kit in case we get the big one. Check this out~ F & M

Meat (combine all of these ingredients and mix well – then form the patty)
1lbs Ground Beef – Lean
Cook 2 to 3 strips of Bacon cook really crispy, cool – then cut up into small pieces
6 rice crackers – crushed finely (if you use bread crumbs, don’t use to much…maybe a 1/8 to a 1/4 cup – you don’t want to dry it out)
1 small onion – chopped finely
1 table spoon of grainy mustard ** Do not skip this ingredient **
2 table spoons of Dads BBQ Sauce (or other)
1 table spoon of soy sauce
Fresh ground pepper ( I use 4 or 5 twists of the pepper mill)
Serve on bun with lettuce and red onion (cut onion as thing as possible), slice of vine ripened tomato.
Drizzle Balsamic reduction right on the cooked meat. (if you don’t know how to make a balsamic reduction – take about a cup of balsamic vinegar – add about a table spoon (or more to taste) of brown sugar, and simmer on low heat until thicker and yummy) – remember to cool this in the fridge before use – this will help thicken the sauce.
Shredded Sharpe White Cheddar Cheese
Made from scratch chipotle mayo (take some canned chipotle peppers in a food processor and mix into mayo to taste, and add ketchup to taste – cup of may, 2 table spoons ketchup, 2 or 3 peppers – then keep in fridge)
Lightly butter the bun then grill lightly so that the butter melts and warms the bun with a light grill mark.
Here’s how it should be put together:
