what you didn’t know about the song “Take it Easy”

I think we all know the Eagles song “Take It Easy”. It’s one of those ones where the lyrics were easy to remember. Jackson Brown wrote a large part of the song for himself but had a problem finishing it. He asked his friend Glenn Frey to help out, who at that time was starting up a new band called “The Eagles”. Glenn added the line about “standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona”. Well, there actually is a Winslow and a Standing On The Corner In Winslow Arizona Park ! Tourists go there every year, just to have their photo taken beside the statue of the stranger with the guitar on his back. In fact, the last weekend of September they have the big festival right there and expect another 6,000 people again this year. No word on if the “girl in the flatbed Ford” is going to show up….
