Take a long look at this photo…it’s the end of an era. You will never see the inside of this building again. After 45 years, Town and Country Bowling Lanes has closed it’s doors forever. It is the first place to be demolished to make way for the new development. Judging from the phone calls we got , there are a lot of memories here. It’s sad really. That leaves Miracle Lanes in Sidney as the only place in Greater Victoria to bowl a game. How times change…

Have you ever thought about finding that one exercise that would help you shed a couple of pounds and is something that you would actually enjoy? Are you concerned about reducing your carbon footprint and doing your part for the environment? The recent bike to work week got us to thinking about exploring the Galloping Goose Trail this weekend. It is wonderful treasure right in our own backyard and we are all blessed to be able to share it.
You think your office is messy, have a look at Al Gore’s! Look at the guys desk! How about the size of those computer screens. Not only is the “truth” inconvenient but so is his work space!
By now, you’ve probably had a look at the photos of the recent Il Divo show and our contest winners. Did you notice something unusual about them? In two of the photos, there are round circles floating in them. Ghost hunters call them Orbs. Now have a look at this photo of a bedroom where several people died. It was taken during our paranormal investigation at the very haunted Helmcken House. Is it a camera flaw or evidence that the dearly departed were “dying” to see the show too? You be the judge. Find out more about Orbs by clicking here.

The internet is littered with weird stuff that fuel our obsession with celebrities. The latest website features nothing but photos of the stars chowing down. Click here if you dare. Bon Appetite !!
After seeing George hork out on a dog, I had a craving for a hot dog last night. Lisa was kind enough to snap a picture and post it here without my knowledge. Now how do I get it off !!
Well, the e-mail we got encouraged everyone to drive by the pumps on Tuesday and not buy gas. It was going to be a massive protest day all across North America. It said it would let those big oil companies know that we weren’t happy with them raising gas prices on a whim .Judging from the picture I took down the street from our house this morning, it looks like “No Gas Tuesday” was a bust! We figure, no one can “stick it to the man” when the kids need a ride to school. If you really want to make a difference, Bike To Work Week starts May 28th. You won’t use any gas and you will ease the burden on our health care system because you’ll be so darn healthy. The only oil you’ll need, is for your bike chain….
We want to thank, you – our OCEAN listeners, who have been so generous. The 5th Annual Radiothon For Kids raised over $205,000.00. Thank you so much for your generosity and thank you for letting us alter your radio station for a few days. Here are some pictures from Hillside Centre.
