One Timmins police officer is taking the next step in his mission to make the city a better place.
Constable Rick Lemieux has finished his second book (sponsored by Northern Credit Union) and is now working on a new series of safety videos and presentations for kids.
The series features a dozen 8 minute episodes and will feature special guests from the OPP and other emergency services and maybe a celebrity or two.
It will target children in grades 1 through 6 to educate them on how to build better and safer communities.
There is also a DVD series made especially for parents about how to talk with your kids about bullies, drugs, and other issues.
Constable Lemieux will have a free reading at the Timmins Public Library next Tuesday (July 24th) where he hopes to get feedback from the public about his newest book, ” a GOOD CIRCLE OF FRIENDS” before they begin their province wide book tour in September.
You must register first, so call the library for more information and to make sure your child gets a free copy of the book.
