The recent springlike temperatures are making waterways touch-and-go.
OPP Constable Marc Depatie says children should be under adult supervision around areas like the Mattagami River and Gillies Lake.
He also advises snowmobilers and ice fishers to make a plan and let someone staying behind know of it before heading out, so that police can be called if something goes wrong.
