Mayor Tom Laughren spoke on behalf of the city’s financial state at a pre-budgetary consultation that was held in Timmins on Thursday.
He told the committee of the 7 million dollar deficit the city is facing this year because of loss of taxes from Xstrata and Grant.
He requested meetings with the Ministers of Housing and Finance to develop a 2 to 3 year plan for the City.
