Mariah Carey is on the promotional trail this week to celebrate Tuesday’s release of her CD Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. The Grammy winner will make an appearance on the popular ABC morning chatfest The View on Friday (October 2nd). Carey will also likely get a chance to discuss her role as a plain, no-nonsense social worker in the upcoming film Precious, set to hit theaters on November 6th.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck will return to “The View” on October 19th.

She’s been out on maternity leave since giving birth to her third child, Isaiah, in August.

Hasselbeck recently called in the show to say that her son had some complications, but that everything is fine now.

It’s expected she’ll give more details about what happened when she returns.

Taylor Swift made her first ever appearance on The View on Tuesday (September 15th) where the conversation inevitably turned to Kanye West’s surprising intrusion on her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. At the time the show aired, Swift had not heard from West, but he called her at the studio after the show ended. Producers at the The View confirmed that the phone call came through. Although details of the conversation were not revealed, Swift accepted West’s apology.

ABC says country music singer Taylor Swift is going to make her first appearance on “The View.”

The 19-year-old is scheduled to perform two songs on Tuesday’s episode.

Swift comes fresh from her high-profile appearance Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards.
