Loving this season of America’s Got Talent. Two of my three favourites are through while my third hasn’t performed for the semis yet. Antonio Restivo and Michael Grimm are through yay!

My name is Mandy. I’m a 24 year old woman and I have a beef with this whole Twilight thing. It’s not good for the young ladies in the generations behind me. This Bella girl. I’ve never wanted to knock some sense into a character in a book so bad in all my life. I just finished reading New Moon (I know I’m behind…and I’m reading them basically out of peer pressure lol) and honestly after reading those final few chapters I felt like not even bothering with the third book.

Bella needs to get a spine! And some dignity! I’m seriously worried about how these tales are affecting the young ladies of today. This Edward fellow is just no good. He takes off and feeds her this “it’s for your own good” line. She’s devastated for months and months, cause she obviously has no hobbies or outside interests…which isn’t healthy. Then he comes back and she’s all like “it was my fault”! WHAT?! WHAT?! Ugh! Parents do your girls a favour and sit them down for a good talk about how vampire boys are just no good.

The American Mustache Institute is pushing for a yearly $250 tax incentive for people with mustaches. They hope to have the new incentive in place by 2011 and say the stimulus money would be used for trimming instruments, wax, combs and mirrors.

When I first read about this I thought it was funny but then I thought that we women should have our own tax incentive. Like really moustache?! Moustache?! You have a choice! If it’s so darn much just shave the thing! Whammy you save yourself all that money! Gender isn’t a choice. You wanna add up all the extra expenses women have? We’d be here all day! We need a women’s tax incentive! Who’s with me?

I just had to rant about this “commercial”. What on earth does it have to do with Nike?! I will NOT buy anything from Nike because of this. I’m sick of all this Tiger Woods garbage. Who freakin cares? He’s a jerk and he plays golf. Whoopdeedo! He’s just milking this as a publicity stunt! I don’t feel sorry for him in the least PLUS his personal indiscretions are his and his wife’s business. No one else’s. And heck am I the only one who was irritated by that televised apology a while back? Why’s he apologizing to me? And yes I know I’m part of the problem by giving it attention but I had to rant somewhere lol

Last night on Idol during his critique of Didi Benami he told the world! lol okay maybe I’m delusional but he did mention that he agrees with me that the singers on those “dancing shows” murder the songs.

In other reality show rantings…how the heck is Shannen Doherty the first celeb gone from Dancing with the Stars?! Really?! How did she not get the votes to stay?! She was nowhere near the worst dancer AND she was dancing for her father! For pete’s sake! And really Pam and Kate are still there?! And Buzz?! Can you say sympathy votes? I don’t really have any reason to watch now…but my votes are going to Chad…cause he’s adorable. Oh but a little humour in all my ranting: isn’t it kinda funny that Shannen’s partner got injured? No I’m not cruel and heartless. I love Mark Ballas but seriously Doherty’s partner got hurty lol.

Alright so I just had to mention a few things that bug me every time I watch American Idol. Mostly the fact that the oh so qualified to give these kids advice (that should be read with sarcasm btw) judges always complain that the contestants ‘need to find their sound’ and whatnot. Well seriously how are they supposed to do that when they’re forced to participate in the theme nights?! Yeah sure you can try to make a Rolling Stones tune your own but are they really at that point right now? They should be able to go up there and sing any song that suits their fancy.

Also like seriously does Simon need to be so freakin mean?! Okay most of the time I agree with him and it’s nice to have someone be honest but tone it down a bit dude. It’s called tact!

This past week more than Paige should have been voted off, they could’ve easily cut 6 people cause we all know who the strong ones that will make it to the top 5 are.

Also I must say that I absolutely loved it when Casey told Miley Cyrus that he loves her dad’s music….and completely didn’t say anything about her music. Made me laugh my butt off.

Okay after the last season of Dancing with the Stars was over I admittedly kinda went into withdrawal lol. Now that it’s back I’m super excited (I even bypassed watching 24!)…just one thing: I forgot just how horrid the DWTS band makes the songs they dance to. Yikes didn’t miss that at all. Why can’t they just use the actual recording? Ah well moving along…I must say I called it (and likely wasn’t the only one).

Here’s a big shock: the figure skater and dancer did the best last night! Nicole dances for a living and Evan essentially dances on ice. Nicole is this year’s Maya and Evan is this year’s Donny.

So far I’m cheering for Shannen (it was so nice to see her dad there cheering her on), Chad, Buzz (of course. how can you not?), and Niecy I guess just cause she’s a nice real type of gal in Hollywood today.
