This is it Timmins!  Mark and I are about to announce our second Flight 99 Grand Prize winner at 8:15am.  It has been an amazing week of sun and fun and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that you will be able to experience all that Jamaica has to offer.

This morning there’s a lobster sitting across from me.  Mark went snorkeling yesterday without his SPF.  The experience, minus the burn, was amazing.  I had my own water adventure at the Beaches Boscobel’s 27ft. water park.  I’m not a strong swimmer … and that’s putting it mildly, but I braved a slide and survived!

And Mark has a new part-time job as a Sandals towel artist.  He’s mastered the art of towel origami.  Every napkin and towel within reach is now a swan.

Yesterday was a big day. Mark and I went to Mystic Mountain. Quite the fun time.  I was more than a little scared … heights and I don’t get along very well.  But outside of that the views were absolutely breathtaking, plus when you get to the top you get to join the Jamaican Bobsled Team. Then we took another chair lift down  … and I finally let go of the bar enough to snap a few pictures.

We spent the evening on a catamaran on the open sea.  A sunset cruise.  Lots of fun was had.

Yesterday Mark and I’s day at Sandals Grand Riviera Beach and Villa Golf Resort couldn’t have been more opposite.

He spent the day running around 18 holes chasing a ball on the most popular golf resort in the Caribbean…while I spent the day lazing about the beach and soaking in the sun and taking part in a game of beach volleyball.

We met back up in the evening for a sweet spread on the terrace at Beaches Boscobel…where we got to meet some serious celebrities: Elmo, Grover, Cookie Monster, Bert, Ernie, and Zooey from Sesame Street. Don’t forget if you’re looking for a vacation spot for the whole family, Beaches is perfect. There is plenty to keep young and old entertained.

More fun in the sun was had yesterday here at Sandals Grand Riviera Beach and Villa Golf Resort.

I ventured out into the ocean depths, well on the surface anyway, on the glass bottom boat ride. I got to see Spongebob’s house, lots of sea urchins and sand dollars. Pretty cool stuff.

Meanwhile, Mark ventured off to Margaritaville. His head’s a little sore today but he groggily said it was a lot of fun.

We have arrived!! Mark and Mandy are live in Jamaica! Yesterday Mark and our winner Robin went snorkeling and even just diving 6 feet deep saw an octopus, manta ray and a lion fish…but Mark wasn’t sure what it was so he “touched it with his flipper and it got all spiney.” Yeah Mark don’t mess with the lion fish.

Meanwhile, on the mainland, I was testing my hand at bartering…I’m still not very good at it. I guess I’m used to the mentality of “this is the price and you pay it” rather than offering folks less for their stuff. Definitely helps to bring company along so you can bail each other out.
