Who is the worst celebrity influence?
Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Tweens and teens have voted Miley Cyrus the worst celebrity influence of 2009. 42 percent of respondents to a poll for AOL’s JSYK.com (Just So You Know) think the singer falls below even Kanye West and Britney Spears when it comes to being a good example for the younger generation.
The results didn’t specify which of the 16-year-old’s behaviors made her such a bad influence, but in the past year she has dated a 20-year-old model, been accused of pole-dancing on-stage, and making “slant eyes” in an informal snapshot.
In a separate poll on the website, Miley was voted number four in the favorite female artist category. Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Beyonce came in ahead of her.

Kanye West ruins Taylor Swift’s moment
Monday, September 14th, 2009
Taylor Swift’s big moment at the M-T-V Video Music Awards was taken away in a flash.
Taylor beat out Beyonce and Lady Gaga to win the best female video for “You Belong With Me.”
She said she always dreamed of winning a Moonman trophy and she was especially grateful because she sings country music.
R-and-B singer Kanye West jumped on stage and cut her off, saying he was happy for Swift but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.
The audience started booing.
Taylor looked like she wasn’t sure what was going on, but by the time she regained her composure, her microphone was cut off and she was whisked off stage.
Beyonce later won video of the year and she gave Taylor a second chance at her thank yous.
Otherwise, it was a fairy-tale evening for Swift.
She arrived at the awards in a Cinderella carriage drawn by white horses, and she performed “You Belong With Me” on a moving subway car.
