It looks like April was a good month for home construction in Sudbury.
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation reports there were 29 starts last month…up 38% from last April.
Northern Ontario Market Analyst Warren Philip says the 25 single-detached starts bring the year-to-date total to 34 which is even with a year ago.
As well….starts on semi-detached and apartment units so far this year are slightly ahead of the pace set in 2011.
