Sudbury Wolves top scorer Michael Sgarbossa won’t be among the 41 players that will take part in Hockey Canada’s selection camp for the world junior hockey championship.

Sgarbossa, who did take part in the summer development camp, wasn’t on the list released this morning.

The 2012 edition of the tournament starts Boxing Day in Edmonton and Calgary.

Sgarbossa did get off to a slow start to this season, but has turned it on as of late and is now 16th in league scoring with 16 goals and 16 assists good for 32 points with 18 of those points coming in the month of November.

Since being acquired from Saginaw last December, Sgarbossa has put up 94 points in 60 games with the Wolves.
