With the first big snowfall of the winter season police are sending out a timely reminder for motorists to give themselves extra time.
Make sure vehicle windows are cleared of ice and snow and leave plenty of space for braking.
Sudbury Police were called out to a total of 18 collisions Sunday afternoon due to icy road conditions.
Environment Canada says Sudbury got roughly 6 centimetres of snow, but rain in Wednesday’s forecast is likely to melt it away.
